PROPOSITIONAL CALCULUS OF NON-CAUSAL INFERENCE

POSTED HERE BECAUSE THE UPLOAD IS SLOW AT ACADEMIA.EDU

The eye is towards future technology. The emphasis in this piece is on technological relevance, specifically to the Google engine. I will begin by explaining the key aspects of the logic, and continue with some observations about how to apply best the logic to a search program, or the nearest compatible concept.

Basically a few notes explaining the role of categories / non-causal inference in formulating logic for computers.

ON COHERENT SYSTEMATICS

The diagram represents the boundary of all possible knowledge, due to the conceptual limit on definability produced by using polar opposites. Conceptually, the only term excluded is zero. Zero may also be included if it has an opposite, with the stipulation that the entire system is ‘over-unity’.

ON SUBJECT AND CONTEXT

In a categorical system, the difference between a subject and a context becomes unclear. For, the system is highly atomistic. The only term representing consciousness is ‘consciousness’. And the only term representing knowledge is ‘knowledge’. And same for any other word. Otherwise, it is left up to the system to clarify the meaning. The meaning is thus implicitly correspondent, but the mode of relation is either coherent or incoherent.

A subject according to the formalism may be defined most simply as the first category, and a second subject as the second category, and so on.

Even more formally, the SUBJECT AXIS is the first and third category in a quadra, while the CONTEXT AXIS is the second and fourth category in a quadra. However, the order of the categories is determined to be arbitrary, a problem that is resolved by positioning opposites diagonally across from one another, producing an order that is identical from top or bottom of the diagram (although alternating in either case in binary fashion, rather than in a full permutation). However, technically the set order of deductions is arbitrary. For formal purposes, the set order of deductions is by reference to the first and second order of categories, etc.

In larger category sets, pairs of opposites may be treated arbitrarily as context or subjects, with no effect on their content, but with emphasis on preserving the most appropriate set order of the categories according to the person doing the analysis. Separate orders of categories produce separate deductions, although the resulting deductions will be formally consistent due to non-contradiction.

ON STATES AND QUALITIES

States may be seen in pairs with qualities, to clarify grammatical meaning. This also has the advantage of creating a familiar relationship between truth (states) and the senses (qualities).

In each conjunction in the logics mentioned later, one part of the conjunction represents a quality, and the other a state. The alternative (introducing all states are all qualities) is difficult, but still workable.

Thus, typically, half of statements are qualities, and half are states in quadra. The ratio remains ½ for larger diagrams, although the alternation occurs differently in diagrams that are not divisible by 4 (sub) categories.

The use of qualities and states implies a quality-state duality, with non-quality and non-state concepts excluded.

However, there is strength to this position, because of two factors:

(1) Most words can be phrased either as qualities or states, that is, as nouns or adjectives.

(2) Additional qualification may be had through the specific words being used. In other words, the formal use of nouns and adjectives does not place a great limitation on the types of meanings considered within the system.

A notation: other types of word-types can be used, provided that they have corresponding opposites, and particularly if they are categorically equivalent to nouns and adjectives.

On the other hand,

If all four quadra are occupied by a noun or an adjective (following the rule of using opposites and positioning them diagonally but otherwise unrestrained in content), then this produces greater difficulty of interpretation, but the interpretation is still valid.

So, as a rule, universal qualities and states = objective limit of difficulty.

[THE NEXT SECTIONS SHOW DIAGRAMS AND THE NORMAL AND TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS OF THE LOGIC].

[ABOVE] The basic Quadra.

A Diagram of the Next Set Level [A Sixteen-Category Diagram].

Other variations.

VALID FORMULAE

The most typical valid formula is AB : CD or AD : CB. For larger diagrams it is more complex. However, opposite values always relate in opposite positions.

NORMAL USE OF THE LOGIC

A range of inferences might include such as the following:

Simple inferences:

(1) What is the context of a subject (A,C) = (B,D)
(2) What is the opposite of (A,B,C,D) = (C,D,A,B)
(3) What is the deduction of (A,B,C,D) = (AB:CD and AD:CB)
(4) What is the opposite deduction of (AB:CD or AD:CB) = (AD:CB or AB:CD)

Complex inferences:

(1) What is the limit on (AB or CD)? = (CD or AB)
(2) What is the next option for Set X? The evolution of every category of X, or the application of the best against the worst properties of X, or the relationship of AB to CD, or CD to AB.
(3) How do we get better logic? By getting a better relationship.
(4) What do we do if there is no solution? Find a different context for the subject.

APPLICATIONS

Typical applications involve absolute knowledge statements, quantum logic, systemic variables, and high-level category parsing.

ABSOLUTE KNOWLEDGE STATEMENTS

These take the exact form as the deduction, but can also be worked up to larger sentences (see my videos on 16- and 64- category deductions, and my book titled How to Write Aphorisms).

A simple case is that Functional Systems [are] Non-Functional Non-Systems. If we know what non-systems are, e.g. by the opposites of the terms defining what system means, then we suddenly have a definition of what is non-functional!

A more complex case using a similar logic is: Arbitrary Infinite Mathematical Dysfunctions [are / involve] Ambiguous Finite Irrational Functions. This can be proven because the terms are by definition non-contradictory.

The deductions are ‘true’ if the word-parts of the deduction exist, but are still valid even if one word part does not exist, because then presumably its opposite exists to a greater degree. Thus, the end-product of two meaningless parts tends to simply result in a simpler form of conjunction, rather than total obletion of significance.

The worst case is meaninglessness, which can exist in two degrees in the case of quadra (1) A half-universal meaninglessness, which means that the context or subject axis, but not both, are in no way real at all---this is unlikely, or (2) If both context and subject axis are utterly without application---even less likely.

The other major case of problem at this level is if both opposite terms must be treated as the same, which I argue is essentially a result of a lack of discretion about selecting technical words. It may be a good precaution to not be a total relativist, which does not seem like too stringent of a requirement. After all, the system accommodates the possibility that the terms are meaningless in some sense, even if it does not accommodate that the terms are meaningless in all senses. So a relativist needs to argue that the terms do not exist at all---which is not even a relative claim. To the relativist, the system looks relativistic, but he should know better.

In general, there is a kind of proactive approach that is necessary, where contexts of application may be related to SOME AREA OF RESEARCH. Quantification---e.g. quantification of subject or context axes---may be necessary to produce specific applications, but with experience, certain arrangements will prove to have repeat significance. And a parser can store information about the types of contexts and subjects which typically have relevance for users with particular interests. The emphasis may be on using the best, most traditional examples over new radical ‘attempts’ at reasoning. However, the logic itself is no less radical because of this.

QUANTUM LOGIC

Quantum logic may be typified as meaning the use of a categorical deduction in a variablistic sense. This can be interpreted in terms of corresponding conjunctions.

So, for example, if you have a finite function, the critical and constructive thing to do is to look for infinite dysfunctions. This can be taken as critical advice, or also as the limit of investigation for the concept, unless the concept is ‘evolved’.

This is because, either you have to accept that ‘finite functions are infinite dysfunctions’ or you have to switch the terminology, and determine that ‘finite dysfunctions are infinite functions’. Numerous conclusions could be drawn here, but the point is that this kind of quantum selection involving the opposite terms of the original set---what I call ‘paroxysm’ --- is the best way for tapping the terms for unseen data.

And, the terms will be less limited in the case of larger conjunctions, as shown in the earlier section.

If you are uncertain about how well-founded the logic is, try placing anything representing function in place of the ‘function’ operator, and then placing the opposite of that term in the ‘dysfunction’ operator.

The result, with massive knowledge, is always that there is an irrefutable correspondence between the functional and dysfunctional component, just as there is a correspondence between function and dysfunction in general. It is only when dysfunction is rejected that function becomes incoherent, and it is only when function is rejected that dysfunction becomes incoherent.

To justify this, consider that there is an element of irrationality. Another way to justify it is to notice that universal functions have finite dysfunctions, and universal dysfunctions have finite functions. By this logic, the conclusion I drew is irrefutable, so long as any term is quantifiable.

SYSTEMIC VARIABLES

Now, the same sorts of tricks apply to large systems. It has nothing to do with the size of the system.

If one variable applies to a complex set of data, then you can predict that if the data were truly opposite, an opposite variable would apply.

It is then only up to you to determine some very clever variables, and then you can determine very clever opposite variables which would apply if your data was opposite.

You can also conclude that if the data was not opposite, say, but LESS LOGICAL, then the opposite variable would apply in a MORE LOGICAL WAY.

HIGH-LEVEL CATEGORY-PARSING

You can already see some of the relations between simple and complex inferences, and between universal and less universal and somewhat meaningless and completely meaningless statements, as well as some use of irrationalism or quantification to show variablistic relations.

Now we can use these types of relationships to produce hiearchies. Here are some examples:

The Neutral Boolean Operators: [Is, As, Just As, When, So, And As Such] can be used to arrange large bodies of logical relations in a 4X exponential conjunction hierarchy, for example, in a very large set of conjunctions:

{Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, When,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, So,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, When,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, And As Such,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, When,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, So,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is, When,
Is, As, Is, Just As, Is, As, Is}

TO BE COMPLETED LATER…

THE SOUL OF ABSOLUTE LOGIC

How can you resolve the nature of opposing logic?

By comparison of opposites!

And how are opposites compared?

By the only way you can!

(That is, by comparing non-opposing parts).

AESTHETICUREANISM: A (NEW?) MOVEMENT

How many have wondered how easy it would be to combine the taste of the aesthete with the spiritual acumen of the yogi? There is an opportunity here: an opportunity for combining an opinion about objects with minimalism and a genuine lifestyle.

Here are some examples of Aestheticureanism:

1. A painter decides to wear paintings on his clothes.

2. Someone lives inside a museum for cheap, wearing self-cleaning clothes.

3. Van Gogh eats his paint. Someone invents edible finger paint.

4. Someone makes a museum where all the floors record the footprints of people who walk there, like a light-box.

5. Someone decides to feel artistic about doing something completely ordinary, like standing on the side of a stone wall, or taking a photograph.

6. Someone decides that although they went to the museum to paint, it is really about food.

7. Someone decides 'This is a particularly intellectual sculpture!'.

8. Someone decides to roll a large coin down the street, to see where it lands.

9. A man walks by, swinging an ancient Chinese coin on a string.

10. A child balances a long stick on the fingers of one hand.

11. An adolescent man decides to make his own imaginary menu.

12. A couple has sex and decides to learn Chinese.

THE RIGHTS OF A GOD

I now dare to write about this topic, since I have been so interested in immortality, and particularly mixtures of Paganism, Animism, and Monism.

1. To be rich & famous.

2. To acquire medicine to increase lifespan.

3. To have beautiful lovers.

4. To have command over knowledge.

Sometimes later, plus additiones perhaps!

Unforeseen Hurdles on the Path to Greatness...

Here is a list of some major (or minor) intellectual hurdles I have passed through, some of which I may still be dealing with, on the path to greater quotability and ~monetary excellence (excuse my language).

ROUGHLY IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER:

1. My childhood accident. I fell off a changing table, and later my father and brother 'tested' my head with a carpenter's hammer. I come from a very intelligent family, but I'm brain-damaged.

2. My rejection of Spanish. When I was 3 or 4 years old I refused to speak Spanish ever again... until I took it up in middle school. Still not much of a linguist.

3. My childhood obsession with weapons and armor. This was probably the biggest hurdle to learning mathematics and studying the classics. It continued into my teens.

4. My father's statement that he was a Determinist. This seemed blind stupid to me, because there was no ethics without free will.

5. My obsession with computer games. My senior year of high school I was often late for class and did not complete assignments, because I was up late, and all day wanted to play computer games. One time (later on) my face even turned blue while I was sitting at the computer screen. I had to literally crawl to the bathroom sink, and gulp water to keep from dying.

6. Unlucky at finding genius poetry. At the Dodge Poetry Festival I fished around in some books, and found nothing I liked. I also feel unlucky in not discovering Dickinson until high school, and not finding the Romantics (except for Blake) until college.

7. My differences with the Existentialists. I'm neither a French speaker nor particularly disillusioned in my attitude. And yet the existentialists are the most intellectual movement that ever existed.

8. My rejection by Brown University. I thought I was Ivy material. Then I had to 'guess not'. My scholarships weren't great either, amounting to about $2500 and some loans.

9. My reliance on my mother. I didn't feel like I owned my own clothes or bookshelf until I was at least 29 years old. Although my mother let my younger brother do shopping at an early age, she held me back for some reason, thinking I couldn't do things on my own. Part of it was my own fault, or resulted from the brain damage.

10. My un-willingness to be frank about my interest in magic and mysticism. This may stem from my father's Atheism, and my physical distance from him. I first took interest in the Tao Te Ching when I acquired fragments of it in a calendar from my childhood friend, who was Valedictorian in high school. For a long time I thought I couldn't really study it, because it was Chinese and somehow beyond my intelligence, and that held me back in studying the magical importance of any type of writing. It wasn't until about 2013 that I started writing about magic, even though I had had an interest in enchantments and elves as a child, and once dressed as a wizard for Halloween.

11. The Neo-Classical Disaster(s). I keep running into people and websites who are obsessed with classical Greek philosophy, and this has largely held me back about my own (what I take to be modern) philosophy. However, I have produced a number of dialogues that I eventually plan to publish as a book. (Another story: my current philosophy honor society mentor is a classicist: frustrating missed opportunity for modernist mentorship).

12. Failure to win the OZY Genius Awards. I had my heart set on this one, and a lot of papers put together. But apparently a few of the other participants were more deserving. So much for pretending to be a chair of philosophy.

THE SECRET OF LIFE #1...

It occurs to me that I may have thought of this before...

[1] Say to yourself, or a good friend: "I don't mean for anything scary to happen".

[2] When something scary happens on a separate occasion, make sure it is something meaningful to you. It could be, for example, an extreme form of artistic inspiration, a love affair, or a gift of money...

[3] Remember what you first thought about all the meaningful things, not just the scary ones...

[4] And, above all, remember who you were before anything scary happened...

[5] Consider all these things together, and it may click: life is meaningful, and not everything is totally scary.

[6] You will find it is easier to speak to people.

[7] You will find you have some spiritual insights.

[8] It will be easier to earn money.

[9] The world's problems will seem distant.

[10] Some of life's parables will make sense.

[11] You will grow more health-conscious.

[12] You will have free time.

[13] It will be possible to pursue life's significance.

"THE STRATIFIED BODY"

From the The Dimensional Phenomenologist's Toolkit, a forthcoming work (image also):

The “Stratified Body” of phenomena takes on symbolic proportions.

(1) In the higher atmosphere, we imagine the stars are like glinting barbed wire. The universe, we can’t help but say, is a kind of prison, as one friend said.

(2) Our torso is magnified by perverts and other observers (‘investigators’), making us feel strangely puffed-up and fragile, or muscular and clumsy.

(3) Our feet are the locus of our danger, so that we imagine sharks circling, even if it is just a red carpet or floorboards. Where we are situated becomes the game that provides the drama.

All in all, perception is full of dangers, inclinations, decisions, and incredulity. We are stuck being us---but we also relish a little entertainment.

Today's Striking Quote from Dimensional Phenomenology

"There are no more magii on the mountain-tops, except in the movies. The Cola and popcorn has taken over. However, we are free to make a movie --- an imagination --- about the scenes we find on the surface of the popcorn, inside the ice cream are caves beyond our comprehension... [W]e still have a shred of imagination, the imagination for the nearsighted world of personal pleasure. Cinematic perspectives ... are abstractions of what we find most intimately meaningful to us: our sensations. To a phenomenologist, cinema is philosophy. And real philosophy, the philosophy of what we really know, is something beyond cinema."

THE STRANGE LOST DIALOGUE OF PLATO

...

Socrates laughs heartily.

End of dialogue.

...

If anyone knows of a dialogue where this happens at the very end, please notify me.

Could it be the Symposium / The Banquet? I think in that piece he is a minor figure.

Or could this be a lost dialogue of Socrates instead of Plato, in which Plato laughs heartily?

Perhaps it is called Sophrosyne, and features the idea that Plato is a valuable student...

THE DIMENSIONAL IMMORTALITY TOOLKIT

For those who wish to pursue immortality, there is a new, potent weapon for your arsenal!

BOOK DESCRIPTION

An aspiring immortal since the age of 9, Nathan Coppedge recognized from the first that the true immortal must possess an exceptional principle. Gathering a wisdom he attributed to a lost immortal youth, he assembled the fragments of a new and profound body of knowledge. Partly concerned with losing his earlier condition of immortal youth, and partly concerned with a form of instant reset called literary ambergris, Nathan also assembled fragments of knowledge from previous existences, lives in which he had also been pursuing the immortal quest. Nathan’s philosophy reflects the fundamental thesis that ‘life evolves with us’ --- and immortality thus requires remaining ahead of the curve. This text, framed as an encyclopedia, provides a wealth of lore and principles aimed at the quest of achieving immortality. Herbal, mythological, metaphysical, and practical, this text illuminates with its encyclopedic, hopeful outlook on the immortal quest.

It is available on Amazon for $12.99 HERE.

THE DIMENSIONAL SPELL-CASTING TOOLKIT

For those intent on studying magic of any kind, there is an excellent new book to add to your magic collection, with your crystals, crystal balls, staves, runes, or shrines, etc.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

This author attributes to himself a number of significant magical effects, including effects as various as time travel, catching paper in the air, calling birds, telekinetically balancing a knife on its point, making pants stand mostly upright, influencing small earthquakes, and healing sore feet. The book includes some samples of ancient magic that can be used to repair fishing nets, attract different types of companions, produce weather effects such as wind summoning and sometimes lightning when it is barely raining, how to re-animate one‘s own body at will, and the powers of immortality and raise dead. While the effects do not come automatically, readers aspiring to be wizards or witches will be pleased with the range of spells and spell-effects (‘Words of Power’) present in this book, and its level of instruction on all areas of magic.

It may be found on Amazon for $12.99 HERE.

THE DIMENSIONAL TIME TRAVEL TOOLKIT

For those interested in time travel, this is an excellent opportunity to read a book by a real time-traveler! Call it a joke gift if you want, but this book has real magical experiences behind it, and a wide variety of techniques that may make it possible 'FOR YOU TO TIME TRAVEL TOO' !

BOOK DESCRIPTION

Perhaps the most pioneering work in its field, The Dimensional Time Travel Toolkit portrays its subject as a mystery and also a possibility. Techniques of mental time-travel are introduced, as well as perspectives and problems related to time travel study and time travel experiences. Locked within its pages are secrets to a profound mystery, and also a daring interpretation into the semantics of the ordinary.

FROM THE INTRODUCTION

“Beginning on May 5th, 2013, Nathan Coppedge set out to write a book on time travel: the best of its kind. He borrowed his themes not only from science and semantics, but from a host of unique experiences which occurred during his developing life.

“Several of these experiences seemed to involve genuine time travel, varying from 24 hours, to significant periods of years. Once Nathan observed his younger brother take a younger form than previously after seeming to time travel between different airplanes in mid-flight. In another case his mother told him that it was 2005, when the year was originally 2009. Incidentally, 2005 was close to the year he had intended to travel to. He then had an experience of synchronously re-living the majority of moments which had occurred in his life during that period, this time with knowledge to anticipate what would occur, including things that were said, and events that would happen. He felt a strange loyalty to the same sorts of timings and events that had already happened. But at the same time, he felt a small amount of willful control, even to change some details of conversations. In some cases, the recipients of his words expressed confusion, as if he had said two things at the same time, or as if the words had somehow been undone by a trick of magic, and re-written. In other cases, particularly with his father Michael and brother Brian, Nathan found that people were able to respond to different contents than had originally been expressed…”

A THESIS ABOUT INFINITY AND ITS DEFINITIONS

However, within the study of geometry including hyperbolic geometry especially, infinity has been largely a still-available tool, separable into typological sets such as 'extended' vs. 'closed' (looping) vs. contingent (extruding). So, in my view, infinity is not dead, its just more about geometry and limitation than people first thought.

Consider, for example, that although an infinitely extended figure may appear different from the side, if it is finite in width, then it may still be seen in finite form. Therefore, the only total limit on perceiving the infinite is if the infinite is absolutely infinite. Otherwise, there may be ways to know definitions or aspects about it. This may be important.

THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR EACH VOLUME OF THE DIMENSIONAL ENCYCLOPEDIA

A module related to the theme of the volume qua Monads, qua repetition, or qua aesthetic application.

The n-th dimension of systems, where 'n' is the volume number.

Symbols as related to the theme of the volume.

The paradise in which the system belongs.

*The objects of such a paradise.

The experience of the Washington Zoo during the summer---somehow cosmopolitan, categorical, and containing varieties of dynamic living things.

Applicable 'machines' or higher-order logic symbols, modeled on a waterpump with a pump handle.

Logical questions, such as 'Does this volume satisfy the criteria of completeness?', 'What occurs when the symbolic boundary is crossed diagonally?' and 'Is the content dimensional in character according to the topic's specific criteria?'

And, of course, curving all of this for relevance to the topic chosen.

A NOTE ON NATURAL DIMENSION

---

Hyperbolic planes can typically receive a wide variety of hyperbolic figures. However, these figures should ideally be modified by background objects, so, for example, a cubical hyperbolic figure in the foreground of a plane might become more rounded on the right-hand side if there is a circular shape inside the right-hand side. These types of effects produce a more natural sense of greater dimension. Remember, it is not necessary to relate to the vertices directly to have an effect on a dimensional figure. The notable exceptions are visual and physical texture, movement, and color.

Updated with several more recent quotes from closer to the end of the month.

“Nothing is meaningless to the perpetual traveler”

"The formula of the known is not the same as the identity for change, although sometimes they swap operators while living amongst statues" ---Nathan Coppedge, July 2015. Related to higher-order logic.

"Identity, it strikes me, is to a huge degree an open-ended concept. There is nothing about identity which says that it does not oppose itself, or that it did not adopt some difficult obscurity for its realization. From this type of principle I arrive at the idea that identity is universally exceptional." ---Nathan Coppedge, The Dimensional Politics Toolkit

"Things like language proliferate, and with them, a wide variety of logics----or other, far more obscure terms. If we are too enmettled to realize this, at least it serves the value of our complexity." ---Nathan Coppedge, The Dimensional Subjectivity Toolkit. Duplicated in The Dimensional Anthropology Toolkit. Attributed to Posterity, a goddess.

"Concerning universal anthropology: To the dimensional sense of the person, the central motif appears to be satisfaction, or some variation on it. Species that do not develop satisfaction are purely logical, and easily manipulated." ----Nathan Coppedge, The Dimensional Anthropology Toolkit

"To trace the exact path, amongst so many promises, has a twinge of the animal. Until the hypothetical researcher realizes that the process concerns the immortal, the animal will be concerned with the researcher, without knowing she exists". ---Nathan Coppedge, July 2015

"In my experience, success is always about universalism." ---Nathan Coppedge

"A chain-of-events that makes a subject out of experience is still an objective application, where the experience consists of objects." ---Nathan Coppedge

"Perfectionism is the typical missing link for the history of dialectical critique, and ignoring it brings grave dangers of circuity." ----Nathan Coppedge, Genius Correspondences

"The blindness of God is merely the absence of a spiritual dimension of existence, which can be determined arbitrarily by the mere choice to pertain or not to pertain to the higher dimensions." ---Nathan Coppedge, Genius Correspondences

"Where politics does not realize paradise, artificial answers will continue to impinge."---Nathan Coppedge, Genius Correspondences

"The bounded Cartesian Coordinate System relates to Einstein’s relativity... [T]hat does not appear to reduce it to randomness --- but rather, democritization". ---Nathan Coppedge, Genius Correspondences

" 'What occurs when the symbolic boundary is crossed diagonally?' I have asked this question again and again, and the answer largely appears to be the emergence of a new system. While in other conceptualizations the result would be failure, I see no reason to believe that the other attempters gave any consideration to the just criteria" ---Nathan Coppedge, The Dimensional Metaphysics Toolkit

Processes, Stages, Levels, and Paths

A process appears to move in a contingent direction.

A stage develops one way, then another.

Levels are meant to improve, but sometimes return.

It is paths that have logic.

What do we choose? Where do we go?

What matters? At what point do we return?

Life is full of paths, levels, processes, and stages.

Must we know our way?

Or will it be constructed for us?

What is the secret?

Where is the answer?

For if we travel on a path without stages, we may not get far...

Yet it may be opposite for a process without levels...

Therefore, process-path, process-stage, level-path, and level-stage are intermediate.

If we deal just with stages and processes, we move backwards.

If we deal just with levels and paths, there is no content.

Therefore, first a path, then:

process-stage, then level-stage, then level-path, then process-path,

And ultimately, a process without levels...

That may be significant for the dimensional coherent contingency plan.

Or simply a sample of etiology.

"THE LILY POND" From the Dimensional Exceptionist's Toolkit (work in process)

---

One might say everything returns to a Lily Pond. It is a place of contemplation. It is also the locus of some exceptional conditions. For example, the lilies are focuses of contemplation, for realizing both complex and simple truths. The lily pads show how life is incomplete, even when it is total! And the stems show the history of the ancient reality behind even lily pads and lotuses. Occasionally the meditator is distracted---is it perhaps a small figure of a Buddha, or a bull-frog on the lily-pad? But the thoughts often return to the pond, even when the patterns in the sounds include the frog. Lily-pads can be found anywhere---even at the Smithsonian! So, what is wrong with rooting some exceptional things in this ‘screen’ or ‘litmus’ of contemplation? Moving beyond it would be rather profound, some say impossible! Yet it is not always the last thing, sometimes it comes early in life. Sometimes it comes before one has died! Sometimes it is the focus of the contemplative life! Discard it, if you must! However its form lingers in the mind! Genders come here, logics come here, to get advice about their eternal prospects! Sometimes war has spilled blood on the lilies, and beauty has been known to wander here! Nothing is completely crass beside the lilly, unless the pond is ruined! There is a role for a gardener! Like a statistician, or spiritual teacher---making the last ends meet for the minds of the young! The pond is not gone! Somewhere, there is a pond, and it subsists many ideas!

ART SALES TO DATE...

It hadn't occurred to me, but I recently added up my total art sales (e.g. since around 2002), and the result is that I learned that I've earned over $1500 minus expenses!

Most of these sales were in the $50 - $120 range, but nonetheless, I'm sort of impressed with myself!

Maybe I can be an artist afterall!

So far my highest selling piece (I think) is to Klaus Lehr in London, for $400. Don't worry, Klaus Lehr, I've sold others for $200 - $300! And remember, yours looks like a Picasso...

OBJECTS WORTHY OF ENHANCED THOUGHT

Logical Solutions to Mathematical Incompleteness

Examples: Complex reasoning that folds out in different ways.
For example, 'math is material' (last claim in the text)--> therefore (unstated
claim), it has proof. Or, 'math has proof' (based on all the arguments) therefore,
---> cautious corollary, math may be infinitely extensible with finite infinites
each represented by the Bounded Cartesian Coordinate System ---> departure
point for theories about degrees of formalizability.

The Lessons of the Master by Master Kuo (a pseudonym)

Examples: E.g. thoughts about reincarnation, realistic magic powers,
chronological omnipresence and resulting associations, and all three together.

Hyper-Cubism

Examples: 'Creation' tool; environments that respond to psychology with
intellectual innuendos, formatted by distinctions between freedom, access,
texture-technology (function-fulfillment), and formal idealizations as a function of
core identity concerns. "You can put your brain right on top of it". "Emotions
become secondary". Hard-core avant-garde reality tool, billed as giving access to
everything.

Omni-Science

Examples: Although a sort of simple tool to use, associations and applications of
the basic AB:CD and AD:CB method and its expanded dimensional formulations
may yield a tool that offers not only knowledge, but a great deal of meaning.

Perpetual Motion Physics

Tentatively, if it is possible to build a perpetual motion machine, enhanced
thought is an excellent way to produce more variations of successful designs. It
can be billed as cheap entertainment for really smart people. Many of the
variations would not be very different from previous designs, meaning that there is a lot of potential to explore without knowing whether you're being original.
This program could also connect to 'God' point systems, therapy programs,
scenario design editors, etc. The goal of course is finding a major exception in the laws
of physics: a combination of principles that grants equal and opposite exceptions, for
example.

Quote about Godel's Theorems

"(Concerning the properties of a given thing) it will always have dimension which exceeds the grasp of the theory" --- Terrence McKenna

But this says nothing about whether a theory can be condensed, and it is condensation that can lead to relative proof.

Tautological incompleteness is actually inadequate against relative proof. Nor does theory need to prove the tautological.

LOGICAL SOLUTIONS TO MATHEMATICAL INCOMPLETENESS

I have been musing about the dialogues between Einstein and Niels Bohr, and also the relations between the greatness of Einstein and the greatness of Kurt Godel. My solution to this dialogue is that there are key insights which overshadow the doubts that emerged at the time. You will excuse me if I introduce some psychology in the schematizing of the thoughts of the time, as psychology is often what is warranted in solving intractable problems. In part because mathematics and physics have often been seen as related disciplines, it can be seen that there is some factuality to the influence of hormonal competitiveness with Einstein in the specific design of theories of his competitors, such as Godel’s incompleteness.

I will leave that complex idea as an initial lemma, except that there is a particular relation between logic and mathematics that may be worth discussing. This is specifically the role between proof theory (a.k.a. Einstein), and the causal relationship between mathematics and physics.

For, we would not ordinarily say that physics is incomplete----at least I wouldn’t. Instead of criticizing this point as having irrelevance out of the inherent incompleteness of physics, we can adopt a logical tool, and say that physics is semantically complete. For, after all, in logic we would not say that a theory is incomplete if it appeared (like Aristotle’s syllogisms), to provide an explanation for any type of conclusiveness we might imagine. Nor would I say that this view is naïve, since even in science the deference is to the best available theory. We would not say science is wrong because it does not know absolutely everything. Instead, we would say that it is relatively complete. And, I argue, it is the same with physics. Unless we are being very technical about what completeness means----and I think we aren’t absolutely technical here, just as the physics is not absolutely complete----then it makes sense to consider physics as though it has some degree of completeness, e.g. it is a relatively successful attempt at a complete explanation. Even if there are multiple categories of physics (relative, quantum, string theory), each category undoubtedly contributes to the completeness of physics, or the theories would be regarded as quack science.

Now that I have argued that physics is considered relatively complete, I would like to make an interesting stipulation. If physics is considered complete, and math is not considered complete, is there something that can be had here? Although math is not normally considered ‘physical’ ---- could it be that the immaterialism of math is groping with a primitive spiritual idea, instead of what it should be doing, which is accepting some perhaps unseen form of objectivity?

For, what is ‘incompleteness’ saying except that math cannot be objective? Wouldn’t objective incompleteness be an oxymoronic definition? Or would it just mean that math cannot ever be complete? Then, are we saying that math cannot ever be complete in a complete sense, or are we saying that math is itself un-objective? I think no one will make the claim that math is un-objective, and asking if math can be complete in a complete sense begs the question of whether we are in fact being relativistic. For there is no sense of math apart from the objective sense, unless it becomes a math of un-objective things. But, instead of wading deeper and deeper into the sense of math as an un-objective application----which clearly leads to un-objective conclusions----the principle that truth is the obviation of the obvious gives us several options: (1) Truth is obvious, (2) Truth is about obviating, (3) Truth isn’t obvious, and (4) Truth isn’t about obviating. Clearly I think it is the case where math is not about obviating that seems like the weak point. But have we proved for definite that math cannot obviate truth? I think regardless of the amount of education required to learn math, it certainly can! And this goes against the principle of Godel’s incompleteness.

However, to prove for definite that there is some mathematical principle based on physics that could be foundational for math requires additional reasoning. But there is nothing which says such ideas could not be foundational in some exceptional, acceptable sense.

In my own theories on logic, I have arrived at a concept of a bounded Cartesian Coordinate system defined by polar opposite word pairs. In this case, it was simply conceptualizing differently which permitted the context to be understandable. I would advocate a similar solution for math. The concept that some mathematical principles are complex, unavailable, or infinite may be limiting the cogency of mathematics. Furthermore, there may be some way in which infinity is not being conceptualized appropriately. My own solution has been that the trans-finite is a product of division rather than multiplication. Unless there is a concept of a whole, math will remain incomplete. But if infinity is a byproduct of multiplying and adding exponents, this assumes the consequence that there is no whole, and thus, that math is incomplete. But the process by which this occurs is not mathematical, instead, it is a more rudimentary logic that might be proven wrong, as I have shown. Certainly the concept that math is not whole does much to refute mathematics, if it comes last. But I think it could just as easily have come first. If it is a matter of cause and effect, and it could be either one, then it is clear that incompleteness is not 100% correct.

In logic, if there is something ambiguous, the process is to search for new and creative ways to solve the ambiguity. These tools are not as easy to apply in math, when the assumption is that it is a product of its products. However, math sometimes involves philosophy. It sometimes involves logic. Some of its assumptions could be wrong. And I think this is the most likely explanation for any form of absolute mathematical incompleteness.

As I mentioned, I have thought of some possible ways to support math by combining it with physics. What if, for example, there was some strength to physical arbitrariness? Once we assume that math is physical, as it may well be in some sense, we can then perhaps prove that since math is more arbitrary than physics, then math has greater support than physics! By this form of arbitrariness, what I mean is that it is not as directly influenced by causal laws. Or, more precisely, it applies to a wide range of phenomena without participating directly in their chain of causality. And, even if math did participate in an object’s chain of causality, this would not make math less arbitrary than the objects being determined. The objects are by definition, the most determined things about observation. Math, then, whether it depends on observations, or does not depend on observations, remains less determined than matter. And, where it is less determined, so far as it does not disappear, it has a more permanent influence.

So, at this point we have a few options. Either (1) math disappears, or (2) math has some influence. But, here is the important corollary. If math has influence, math is physical. And what is physical is not incomplete. We already know, since it is less determined than matter, that it is more influential than matter. Therefore, math is more complete than matter!

Original Intellectual Symbols I've Collected Over the Years

 VOLIT: Symbol for perpetual energy.

The bounded Cartesian Coordinate System or Quadra Diagram

UNITY DIAGRAM based on a philosophy from 2002.

"THE APERTURE OF DIMENSIONISM": Used as the symbol of the dimensional encyclopedia.

AMALGAM: Sign of the dimensional man, originally a vision from when I dreamed while locked inside a college library.

THE SUPER FISH: A symbol that is supposed to represent in the abstract an alien life-form more advanced than the human, e.g. something less Cartesian.

ARC OF HISTORY OR ELSE A DIMENSIONAL KEYBOARD: This symbol appeared in a dream in which I played God.

AKHENATON: Symbol for mathematical third-wheels.

I've attracted a quasi-follower, good news I think!

From a comment on my blog:

I couldn't sleep. I wrote something about circles. This quote of yours drove me to write somehow...I think...but I could be wrong...I am tired. Take a look if you want.

I responded to his circle idea at his blog, where I said:

There is one way where you might be wrong, in that there is no definite relation between the person and the circle. I think the human may be more specific than the circle, and in that way you may be right. The question I think is really 'how to find relevance for the circle?' And I think in this respect it is useless to commit to specific traditions, and more appropriate to find a personal meaning for the circle. Otherwise the result is a trope.

On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a rational system, then the circle may or may not be rationalized, and rationalizations can be interpreted as literal or else formally irrational. And the result is to accept or reject the meaning of the circle.

In my own sense of significance, I often return to the idea of the 'sublime' to explain the meaning of symbols. To some extent, what something means is its aesthetic role in the environment. If the symbol is not a sensory experience in some way, then we must define what it means for ourselves. The symbol will not always choose its meaning for us...

At the same time 'follower' may be the wrong word to use, since his writing style is in some ways more compelling than my own...
