Forthcoming book, Analytic Possibilism

ANALYTIC POSSIBILISM

By Nathan Coppedge

BOOK DESCRIPTION

An optimistic philosophy granting powers to the critical faculty...Thoughts can have the properties of nature as a way of tasting nature...Metaphysical possibility exists in at least two senses...The view held roughly by Elias Canetti, Novalis, Lichtenberg, Alexius Meinong, Quentin Meillassoux, and Nathan Coppedge.

Platonic Dimensionalism

Here's an insight I just had (seriously).

Perhaps higher dimensions are 'curled up' after all. I had contradicted statements made by some string theorists that higher dimensions are in fact curled up on their vertices somehow.

But now I think I understand the concept. It involves a higher dimension of perception, but not necessarily a higher dimension of matter.

What is involved is that a line may become a circle, which is perceived as a line in its center, but becomes circular and narrower, and fades away on both sides.

In this way, a triangle might have a bottom as well as a top made of three parts. You think that's the third dimension, but it's also the fourth-dimensional view of the second dimension!

Similarly, a square might be a sphere if the lines have no where to go (e.g. in Cartesian Space), or it might become fragmented. The rational answer is that it, too must be a three-d figure when projected into the four-d realm.

And the same for every other shape!

The perceptions we observe, if they are 2-d projections in the 4-d realm, must be mere pictures if we ever live in 4-d.

Planes on the other hand will be like what we know of 3-d, except they will have properties instead of depth. I think that is the conclusive answer.

Forms of Deduction Based On An Introduction to Higher Order Logic

(J. Lambek and P.J. Scott. Introduction to Higher Order Categorical Logic. Cambridge: Cambridge U, 1986.)

An introductory manual dating from 1986 suggests A can be derived from B in certain cases in which a bounded coordinate system is used.

The text suggests that one of the key importances of the method is to derive the significance of pi in terms of phi (typical mathematical explanations).

This points towards an at least three-part method of deduction based on mathematics, expressly:

1. Relative identity to pi.
2. Phi translation of pi (formal equivalence).
and,
3. Modular equivalences between phi and pi.

However, irrational numbers are not what we need with universal knowledge, so I'm afraid these people must be secretly stuck on a 'Kantian boat'!

I argue that the relation to irrational numbers is arbitrary except when 'pi' is translated to mean 'coherence', since irrational numbers lead to a problem with trans-finite boundaries. Thus, the number-relation has no definite significance except modularly.

In terms of coherency theory, the 'three deductions' mentioned above may be expressed as:

1. Relative absoluteness (qualified and quantifiable nominalism).
2. Formal equivalence again.
and,
3. Philosophically-systematic variations of geometry.

There is no indication that math grants these deductions to be exclusive.

In fact, doubt could even be thrown on whether deductions of such a simple form are deductions in the first place.

Therefore, it seems justified to limit the importance ascribed to this earlier text in establishing methodological coherence, even while at the same time the authors do appear to grasp some of the fundamental workings of a coherent system.

In the context of this work, it appears that the philosophical importance of the methods has been ignored in favor of a mathematical explanation.

But it is significant that the authors held that B could be derived from A in such a way where B ^ 2 = A. This equation is functional for square Bounded Cartesian Coordinates in which it is assumed that A refers to  the total number of categories, and B refers to the number of deductions.

However, it is unclear whether this is what the authors intended, for although the context relates to closed cartesian coordinates, the context is also most directly related to graph theory and Hilbert Spaces.

The philosophy application could obviously look simpler, but it also looks to me to be more relevant to higher order categorical logic.

Advances in Dimensional Metaphysics Qua Mathematics

Major categories can be separated by what variable they take.

The result is a hierarchy.

Time takes extension or the state of dimension as a variable, and takes immortality as an irrational.

Quantity takes quality as a variable, and takes organization as an irrational.

Complexity takes quantity and quality as variables, and takes perfection as an irrational.

Pleasure, on the other hand, takes ‘dimensional’ (the quality of dimension) as a variable, and takes ‘pain’ as an irrational.

A New Review of the Dimensional Philosopher's Toolkit (2013, 2014, 2015)

This review is currently posted for one of the kindle editions... Objectively speaking, it seems to be a good review, since, narcissism aside, the reviewer believes that I'm offering something for philosophy.

This review is from: The Dimensional Philosopher's Toolkit (The Dimensional Encyclopedia Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
Nathan Coppedge has written what may be seen as one of the most interesting works of modern philosophy. Coppedge has proven Wittenstein wrong, Wittenstein did not end philosophy forever. The book supplies the basis for using the categorical deduction, which Coppedge contends he created. It appears to operate under fewer assumptions than pure Aristotelian deduction. However, Mr. Coppedge seems to be an extreme narcissist that believes that he is the best of best in modern philosophy. He certainly is in the avant-garde of modern philosophy and may very well be one of the best.

Dimensional World Module 1

1. Complexity is texture.

2. Texture is a kind of information in the dimensional world. See Systemo.

3. Perfection is substance.

4. Entities can levitate through isometry.

5. Subjectivity is the coincidence of perspective, granted appropriateness.

6. Entities exchange abstract properties through hyperbolics.

7. The correspondence of internalized descriptions determines aesthetic meaning.

8. Perfection is a rule of complexity, and vice versa.

9. Quests include whether perfection is subjective, and whether complexity is individual (creating leisure and purpose).

10. Meaning and enjoyment are natural---both urban and cultivated.

11. If there is a shortcoming, it is the shortcoming of virtual worlds: a way in which the original, inherent needs of occupants were ignored or overlooked.

12. Consequently, pleasure should be guaranteed, unless pleasure can be explained and justified by visual content.

13. Economics is not competitive, but meaningful and explosive like the big bang.

14. Everything is meaningful, unless it results in questions to the interface.

15. Knowledge in this world is exponential, and its only degeneration is the finitude of the coinci-stantial.

16. In essence, a meaningful world, with real values (objects, hence aesthetic rules of physics).

17. Ethics is far more material, and meaning far more evidential, in this world.

New Page Summarizing Critical Sources of Dimensionism

This page accommodates quotes by intellectuals on the subject of dimensionism, a movement begun in Hungary around 1935, and which has received a number of recent encyclopedia volumes by myself. It may be seen as including subjects as vast and broad as the art of M.C. Escher, aspects of the work of Jean Baudrillard, Hyper-Cubist artwork, and Nathan Coppedge's writings about objective knowledge. Until recently, dimensionism has been fairly obscure. Even now, the majority of searches related to dimensionism appear to relate to theories of specific dimensions, such as the second dimension and third dimension. These 'movements' alienate the broad category of the central subject, risking that dimensional knowledge be overtaken by theories of deconstructive mathematics. Specialization has a good purpose in that it heightens awareness of the specific perspectives of each dimension, but has the shortcoming that it overclouds general theories, including coherent dimensions:

Here is the page I was referring to, including quotes about dimensionism:

Tenets of Meta-Nihilism, A Casual Movement Similar to Metemphysics (Non-Sic)

Meta-Nihilism, def: A movement in which nihilism is applied to post-nihilist principles, and is only critical through its own methods.

1-D: "Zero is the great unifier"

2-D: "There is a gulf between desire and fulfillment"

3-D: "After madness comes reason, and after reason comes madness"

4-D: "It is said of truly intelligent people, that they often have no true opinion" (the 'Libra mind seal')

Philosophers / Students Preparing for the Holidays?

Buy the book that a PhD. said "may ... (be) ahead of it's time" and which a reviewer called "Utterly Fascinating!"...

Subjectivists stand back, this text concerns objective knowledge that is not specifically religious, and which relies on a minimal amount of assumptions.

The Dimensional Philosopher's Toolkit is Now Officially Copyrighted

I received a notice from the Library of Congress saying that most of the material included in the Dimensional Philosopher's Toolkit is considered copyrightable.

Actually, it's slightly ambiguous, but the notice says that the 'material excluded from this claim' is 'some text' which I assume means quotations. So I'm okay!

    Temporary Rating

DPT is currently #15 for Kindle / Philosophy / Reference

Currently 140,193rd in Kindle Store overall (for now).

There is a link to that text HERE. I think it belongs in bookstores.

(Once I found two different books that had the same rating, so I don't know if these statistics are really trustworthy).
