Make sure when someone has a trigger word, such as 'Bootie' relating to their father's big butt, that it always involves two of them, just to exaggerate the effect.

If the person has great intelligence, make sure there is someone intelligent around to make the perversity seem worthwhile, although un-enjoyable.

Surround the person with confusing words that have the effect of not questioning the problem, such as 'button' , 'anorak', 'analogy', 'A Nile', and 'des-pair'.

Make sure, in the middle of it all, someone smashes their thumb, or in some other way creates a very awful problem that proves there is 'no perfect way out of the maze'.
