Philosophical Danglers

"The dangler is, how do you define your own philosophy."

---What are some defining characteristics of modern philosophy?

"The concept of God is often treated as more of a dangler."

"You threw in the word 'knowing' which tends to be a dangler. It is possible to have inadequate knowledge, partial knowledge, or real knowledge that is not absolute. Therefore, throwing in the word 'knowledge' always adds something extra. In my own theories, I argue that knowledge is always in some sense an application, as a way of explaining this. 'Is wisdom knowledge?' might be a better, more traditional philosophical question."
--Is wisdom knowledge?

"There was not much impulse, even recently, to arrive at a new idea for philosophy which could fulfill the idea of the post-analytic. Such an idea would require considerable inspiration, and it would have to be more in line with science, yet offering something unique which science wasn’t currently offering. It could be an alternate science, but to be an alternate science, it had to have reason for that, and this reason was not forthcoming. The opportunity emerged with the theory of functioning perpetual motion machines, beginning between 2000 and 2019 in my work. The concept presents a clear dilemma: on one hand, if perpetual motion is futile as scientists say, then the usefulness of philosophy has been annulled. But if a philosopher contributes to the first theory of WORKING perpetual motion, then suddenly there’s this odd dangler of a philosopher doing something a scientist can’t do. So, that is interesting."
