1970s:
People certainly looked superficially wiser in terms of their body type and the clothes they wore, however, their actual wisdom level was less conclusive than expected. Instead of proving they were wiser using arguments I found these people were more likely to use populist tropes like ‘waiting in line at the dairy queen’. This made it hard to judge whether they were actually wise-alecks or perhaps merely people who had more experience with trope-like thinking. Some also attribute the apparent wisdom of earlier times to the seeming loss of innocence which occurred during the hippie era. These earlier people, much like the people in the 1800s, truly believed people could look and act authentic, which was not true later. So, they tended to show more confidence, which fed into the tropey thinking. Tropey thinking could create tropey situations, and you can see this is more of a pattern already close to the 1970s compared to how people usually think today. Part of it is almost certainly emotional.
‘High House’ may have been an original invention of the 1970s. But they wasted too much drugs, so it wasn’t a good idea.
What kills the 1970s? They have teedlewheets? Elvis has better ideas. Something about electronics or something. They’re coasting this along too much. A purge of thumbsicles awaits us if we aren’t lost.
70s, 80s, and 90s
- Too lucky to be alive is obviously a famous music video from a female perspective. They must be paying through the nose for that video.
Postscript:
They thought they were wizards was one perspective. It could have been an act of faith. The modern world was like a bath in cold water. Then they acted like the 1980s. It was evolution supposedly. They sort of felt like they had been two-dimensional. It’s sort of later where you talk about multi-dimensional. They said they had them tape-recorded. Then they fought back, but it was mostly evil people. Higher-dimensional evil people maybe, but who is thinking of these dimensions? That was the hard line to understand. They just believe in God, so we know they’re going to go extinct. They think they’re high is going to save them. They need that cold water of the 1980s.
