Laying the Fallacy of Knowledge to Rest, Part 2

Oh, you mean extensive knowledge? That's different.

Boast.

Well, whatever you mean by knowledge.

In a nutshell, you're right.

Could it be different?

It has never been as thought.

Can you reassure me?

Knowledge can reassure you if only we had any.

Knowledge is nuts?

Knowledge is of anything you please.

Knowledge is pleasing?

Yes, and nuts can be pleasing.

Yes, nuts are very pleasing. It is a pleasant knowledge.

Nuts are hard, you see that?

Knowledge of nuts is hard.

Not only that, but nuts themselves are hard. If you choose, it is their hardness that is pleasing.

I see, hardened knowledge.

Not quite, for that is only knowledge of nuts. There are other hard things.

And this is hardness or this is knowledge?

Both, actually. It is knowledge of hardness, just as you saw, it is really the hardness of nuts, formed into knowledge. Knowledge of their specific hardness. Naturally.

I see, and what comes after this?

Nothing if you so choose. Just enjoy the pleasantness of one thing.

What if I knew many things?

You may, if you so choose. The world is full of things.

And if I am not enough?

The world is the same. No different for it.

Then how can I grow?

You must keep close to the knowledge that is most certain in you. Like a bending tree, all will be the same.

You give the gift of nature?

Certainly.

Then I must learn what you know.

I know many things.

What things?

Nature, trees, birds, and bees. And wind.

What is its name?

You are trying to trick me. Nature has many names, all different. But the one unified whole is always One, and always the same.

But what if one thing becomes another?

Then it is different, but it is still called the same nature.

Then it is not so?

It is so in name, but it undergoes changes.

How can that be so?

It is in nature that some things may change.
