A GENERAL CONTEXT FOR INTERFACES 2023-11-01

The major classifications of problems for computers include:

EFFICIENCY

This can be solved through

  • Physical efficiency (better logic handling, construction, and performance).
  • Abstract efficiency (better apps / software).

VERSATILITY

This is a matter of:

  • Having usable file formats and interfaces. Adding exponents to this may be a matter of reliability and also usability (for example, a computer that works for years, and which can be used for innovation).
  • Avoiding viruses and system problems.

INTERFACE ISSUES

Primarily:

  • Making interfaces easy to use.
  • Making interfaces interesting. I have found categorical-visual thinking as well as straight design can be important for making interfaces effective. Not all designs work, and it is important to accept some features of early design concepts while also incorporating enough features to make the package interesting.

CONNECTION ISSUES

This is primarily a matter of:

  • Improving internet speeds.
  • Improving quantity and quality of content.
