Systemic Variations

Things are going as normal.

(Unexpected snag such as boss says wooboo).

* It varies*.

*Adjust*.

Or make sure, example (boss gets mental help).

End result: Something unexpected happened, perhaps the world went crazy...

The Book of Hardness

0

You don't know that I never bend, I always 'snap'. That's because I'm an absolutist.

A strong argument could bend, but that's because it doesn't break.

What measure I follow I tap.

Mass is suspending in a trap.

Infinite efficiency portends.

A layer of difference fills the gap.
...

NOTE: I remember encountering this text at Bard college. My conclusion is my professor was a time-traveler.

Sacrosanctitudes:

1

Truth is in the affirmative.

2

What is easy to explain is simple.

What is really impossible is complex.

3

One must compare different things.

One is different, the other the same.

We should explain the similarity and the difference.

4

Explaining contradiction creates opposition.

Opposition is the source of irreconcilable problems.

The ideal anything is something without problems, except perhaps philosophical ones.

Un-philosophical contradictions are evil.

5

Absolutism has a quality of absoluteness.

Relative relativism implies absoluteness.

Knowledge can be measured in degrees.

The absolute life is absolute.

The objective measure is the absolute measure qualified by semantics.

The universe is my light and flaky.

(Note: keep quote with 5th set)

6

Something happens.

We learn recursively from eternity.

Our representation of experience works or does not.

We have a negotiation strategy.

Some strategies are better than others.

Truth matters.

7

An idea is a matter of truth.

The good is an idea of considerable matter.

Considerable matters have meaning.

When something happens, if it seems good, it has an idea of matter, and it is true.

This good happening has a natural quantity which is how good it is, and how good it is is what is good if anything is good, if we consider everything.

What is opposite of a good happening is against the natural quantity, which is not how good it is, and it does not seem good, and it does not have the same idea of matter, and it is not true in the same way.

Therefore, truth is a puzzle.

8

Therefore, truth should be elaborated until we find the best meaning.

Contradiction should be eliminated.

We should find what is most meaningful and certain, unless what we desire is not certain, or unless meaning is of an evil nature.

Some things will be most meaningful, and they will add to the quantity of truth.

Other things will be less meaningful and less certain, and they may subtract from the quantity of truth.

We should seek truth in it’s highest form.

We should find out what is most imperatively true, and whether it is good.

Then we should seek to maximize it’s meaning.

Conversation with Jeffrey Werbock 2019-08-12

Jeffrey Werbock: There is already a real perpetual motion system, our universe. It is being studied by cosmologists and physicists.

Nathan Coppedge:

But that is not true in the same sense that a normal human being would mean it. The universe, semantically, is a perpetual motion machine, but so what? That says nothing inherently about how the properties of energy are expressed. And, if it says nothing inherently about how the properties of energy are expressed, eventually someone will use semantic slight again and determine that some of the energy is gone. I find too often that scientifically-minded people will ignore eventualities simply by claiming ignorance of any way of extending information. Scientists say the universe is expanding, that dark matter or antimatter or something destroys matter, that the Higgs boson is an extremely rare particle, that most of the universe consists of largely empty space that is extremely cold, that suns gradually burn out and humans are the result of an absurdly rare evolutionary process under rather lucky conditions, etc etc — eventually someone will conclude the universe is dying unless we have some logical symbol like perpetual motion to represent the immortality of the universe. Saying the universe is perpetual simply because heat dissipates is not a very strong argument. I would take a more desperate position before I would conclude that I need to invent perpetual motion: I would conclude first that there is an absurdly rare window in which anything exists at all, universe or not. But a scientist can never see that I am being more conservative to do rare things with rare things, rather than die of an unformed opinion. I am tired of scientifically-minded people making the lazy-man move to reject new evidence based on the foundation that they have already rejected the context of deliberation. Perhaps when you say that the universe is a dying perpetual motion machine you should try being a little more intellectually rigorous, and maybe you will get very different results. I’m not saying you need to believe in God (I’m not sure I do), but at least for godsakes you could believe in winning the lottery, and what that means for everything that doesn’t. It sounds to me like from the science point of view entropy is about like drinking coffee, but I think in physical terms that is absolutely inaccurate. And I find a bit further along in the analysis perpetual motion is going with the evidence, not on the basis that it is winning the lottery, but on the basis that physics won the lottery.

Variations on the Watchmaker Analogy

This analogy has been seen as due to Paley (1802) not Anselm, although perhaps the older source has been lost.

Versions of the Watchmaker Analogy:

1. The common version these days says that the watch is found along a path in an empty wilderness. The watch is meant to illustrate arguments ala genetics that only the One God could be the creator, e.g. creator of physical matter. This is like a 'Materialist' version of the Watchmaker Analogy.

2. A second also common version is the version perhaps originally attributed to Anselm, which says that the watch represents the whole universe. In this case, the argument is metaphysical, and aims to show that God is the 'source' and 'secret energy' which animates and ratiocitates existence. This is like a 'Spiritual Ghost' version of the Watchmaker Analogy.

3. Another version of it has that the watch is secret, and cannot be physically seen with the eyes. This may be used to illustrate faith, but the perspective I prefer is that this idea illustrates how the concept of mechanisms can be concealed, as though inherently, and so the mysteriousness of life illustrates the occult power of God. It is the idea that only God would know how life operates. Or, only God could grant power that is factual. This is like a 'Byronic devil' (controller of matter) view of the Watchmaker Analogy.

4. Another view is that there is something special about the watch. The watch might be made of blue glass, or made by angels in Switzerland or something. Here the aim is to appreciate that only God could make such fine handiwork. This is like a materialist view of God.

5. Another view sees the mechanism as a metaphor, specifically an abstract one. The watch is material enough, but the 'mechanism' is somehow abstract. In this view, God is the power which supplies logic to the world. God is the rational force, which is why the universe works, in this view.

6. Another view has it that the watch is incomprehensible. That logic is beneath God, but that God makes things legible for the human mind through things as simple as a watch. In this view, God is much more complicated than humans, but the existence of sensible things is an expression of his goodness and rationality.

7. Another view assumes the world is evil, and interprets the watch as an expression of divine law. Arguing that law is something rational, the Watchmaker Analogy describes law as subverting evil natures, thereby expressing God's desire for ethics.

Schizophrenic Absolution

I find a friendly voice in my head, and I say:

We shouldn't know whether we're real or not.

It occurs to me real human beings are like this.

Coherentist View of Smiling

If you smile... you either become a drug addict, a murderer, or depressed.

One smile looks like a hint of depression, the very soul of depression, another smile looks compulsive, crazy, another smile is all about smoking...

None of the smiles I've encountered is truly good.

If you think I'm beating you up...
You're beating yourself up, or you have a criminal background.

My mood has always been balanced when I didn't smile. Smiles are inappropriate, insane.

Before the modern age smiles were for dictators and prostitutes. It expressed really, sickness of the soul.

It is only reverse psychology which popularized the smile, really against human will.

Smiles are a sign of oppression.

Perpetual Motion Computers

Several theories:
* Essential formula initially, is that the essence is energy, performing functions.
* Supplement is energy engages processes activated by energy.
* Further is efficiency activated by multiple processes.
* Exponential efficiency is key in this conception.
* Now, what we call conventional processes, which could be regular computing or exponentially efficient computing. This forms the 3-layer structure.
* Now, treat all that as the initial premise.
* Imagine it could be modified to supply the hardware.
* Imagine distinct linkages of this process could be micro components.
* Now we get concepts like fast overprocessing, bulk loading, physical layer conversion, and constant overhead (overhead overdrive), which may lead to advances.
* More distinctly, it is the theme of utility computers and permanent computers, energy-enhanced hand-utilities and wire computers.

Anti-Gravity Drawbridges

Perpetual motion concept.

ABOVE: Antigrav Drawbridge. Note: Earlier (2nd) rendition accidentally used stretchy string of duct tape. Very luckily, here support is provided for sphere without otherwise cheating.

  • Date of Invention: August 1, 2019.
  • Precedents: Partial Perpetual Motion Basin, May 23, 2012.
  • < 130% conventional Over-Unity.
  • Leverage: 1.25:1 (Unconventional Assisted Slope)
  • Counterweight Mass: > 0.625X to < 1.25X
VERSION 2 Same Stats:

This 1st version of the experiment remains a mystery. The 2nd version definitely involved accidental cheating, but the 1st version (subtle csuseway device) has two-directional motion and probably does not cheat in both directions, as it would have been accidental.

Note also ramp arrangement changed in the 2nd experiment, which would explain the duct tape getting caught then.

According to 'Ethan God' (Quora profile), Will Durant's definition of morality is:

“[M]orals are the rules by which a society exhorts its members to behaviour consistent with its order, security, and growth.”

The question is whether such a morality can sustain individual liberty? And does this morality rely secretly on individual morals, whether liberated or not?

How does Durant's morality respond, if at all, to the paradigm of the noble and the debt collector from Hegel?

Durant appears to simply swallow questions in a view to satisfying them.

The result of Durant is an unsatisfied yet satisfied feeling of realistic questions taken far away from their potential maximization as problems.

The ultimate feeling is actually unsatisfied, but far more satisfying someways than the questions this feeling pertains to.

We are left not quite knowing, but somehow feeling, that questions evolve by this feeling of mild satisfaction, but that, fortunately or not, no further progress is necessary.

Then, looking into alternatives becomes an arduous task. There is however, still a place for words.

(Apologies to any similar sources, Durant seems to force this response when the topic is that particular quote).
