There is one theory where what is necessary for nirvana is:
1. The knowledge of how to understand nirvana.
2. The ability to feel good.
3. A circumstance where one is a functional person.
The point is, with these things nirvana might pass functionalistically, but without any of them it could never pass.
So, is this a theory of nirvana?
For example, how much of nirvana is working memory?
How much of nirvana is being happy?
How much of it is special knowledge of nirvana?
Incidentally, this is how nirvana was preached.
