PERHAPS THE SOUL, OR ONE OF THE SOULS, OF BILL GATES? AND THE PROPHECIES OF ADAM SMITH

Concerning the manufacture of machines, by Adam Smith:

"...what a variety of labour is requisite in order to form that very simple machine, the shears with which the shepherd clips the wool. The miner, the builder of the furnace for smelting the ore..." Adam Smith, The Wealth of Nations, I.1.11

Adam Smith's prophecy of the computer age is followed by predictions of the following:

the feller of the timber: Amazon.

the burner of the charcoal to be made use of in the smelting-house: perpetual motion

the brick-maker: free economics,

the brick-layer: meaningful existence,

and: the workmen who attend the furnace: divine existence or virtual reality.
