Hyperbolic planes can typically receive a wide variety of hyperbolic figures. However, these figures should ideally be modified by background objects, so, for example, a cubical hyperbolic figure in the foreground of a plane might become more rounded on the right-hand side if there is a circular shape inside the right-hand side. These types of effects produce a more natural sense of greater dimension. Remember, it is not necessary to relate to the vertices directly to have an effect on a dimensional figure. The notable exceptions are visual and physical texture, movement, and color.
