NATHAN'S TECHNIQUES FOR IMMORTALITY

These are some counter-intuitive techniques which aim to assist anyone in becoming closer to the immortal path.

(1) Make little bets with yourself about what something means. It could be whether you look at a car passing, or whether you choose to smile or eat a snack at a given moment. If it turns out one way, you decide that it has a given result. So you use it to hone your willpower. Not only that, but you use it to gain motivation about what you can really achieve. You can tell yourself, ‘my smile means immortality’ or ‘when I eat this snack, it’s for a good reason, so I’m going to make some achievement’. Instead of being completely flexible, apply principle now and then, and use it as guidance for the long-term.

(2) See your own past as something that was infinitely old, and your future as something moderately young. This will allow you to justify endless good health. Life is not a sacrifice or something idiotic, but rather an endless struggle to regain lost wisdom, by becoming young. Youth will provide a platform for the infinite quest that is required.

(3) By your own definition, try to be lucid about your entire life whenever possible. This involves seeing through the mists of time that enshroud your life, and making some predictions about what will happen to you, and what your life means. This will make you relatively wise compared to people who do not do this.

(4) Do small things to improve your health incrementally as time goes on. By this logic, if you are infinitely old, you will definitely be infinitely healthy! Use this logic to convince yourself that you will never die, or at least, when your health leaves, it was a robber who took it, not someone giving charity.

SET 2

(1) Don’t Make Evil Bargains. Obey your best principle. Your soul or sense of self-motivation is the deepest underlying principle related to you and your life.

(2) Practice Virtuous Health. Health is the best kind of karma, because you get the reward immediately. I am a deep believer that when you are healthy, others are healthy too. Don’t believe appearances about others‘ sickness or sense of well-being. Trust improvement in your own life, and only when it improves!

(3) Have Principle. Creating laws to live by --- that you really believe in --- can make a difference for your perception of time and the prospect of immortality.

(4) Mix Ingredients in Your Mind. Practicing a little mental chemistry can make a huge difference in the long-term. Remember, its not about drugs, but your own sense of self. Even if you don’t notice results from your thought process immediately, remember that where you have a principle, you can improve eventually! Where you have headaches, you may later have happiness! Where you have blunt emotions, you may later become vibrant! Miracles are possible with a good brain!

PRACTICAL SPACE: WHAT IS MISSING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE AVERAGE IMMORTAL QUEST

Practical Space: One of the most difficult things for someone on the beginning of the immortal path is to put the mind and the life in a ‘practical space’ --- the sort of space where one could take practical advice from others, and see the relative merits of small, discrete choices. The first step might be having a safeguard against occasional irrational decisions like gambling or eating poisonous mushrooms. This will grant greater rationality to the life, making it possible to make firm decisions without erasing the progress one has made in life. One of the more difficult contracts for the beginner is the contract to arrange personal security indefinitely. Indeed, the prospect of death looms as a fundamental sort of ‘gambling’ --- indeed, it is the most fundamental sort of gambling. Therefore, the second step, and many steps beyond the second, involve doing those things which are best for one’s health and sanity. However, the final point of practicality for the beginner is what I have already mentioned: having an openness to free, practical advice, and knowing --- being ‘canny’ --- to the relative advantage one has in terms of health. Only through recognizing that one has made progress (however subtle and slight) can one hope to overcome discouragement and therefore maintain an attitude of health.

The Argumentum: A Response to the Solipsistic Dominoes of Doom

Make few assumptions.

Begin with a value.

Now accept that the value is radical.

Now apply the radical value to the world as we know it.

Now, there is something you can trust.

Apply math or logic.

Now you have reasoning.

So you have a basis for rationality.

You now have something better than glorified perception.

So now you can afford to be practical, at least.

If you can be practical, that is like absolute knowledge, at least if practicality is what counts, and as long as there is something definite and practical that can be said.

So, you have definite knowledge, from which you can derive definite agency. You're self-determined, because you can make practical choices about rejecting or accepting your values. And what would someone want other than to be practical? It's got to work out somehow.

If you can be practical, you have purpose in life, from which follows ethical knowledge, and from there, ethical practices.

Now it is obvious that there is a collusion between purpose and free-will.

Does this prove Protagoras right? I must plead my own ignorance.

JUSTIN GREY AND NATHAN COPPEDGE'S DOMINOES OF DOOM

SOLIPSISTIC DOMINOES OF DOOM

These are the dominoes that fall, unless you can see an exception:

There is apparently a choice between purpose and free will, if purpose must be determined. So either purpose or free will must fall.

Purpose or Free Will -->

When purpose or free will falls, we do not have both purpose and free will, so ethics falls.

Ethics -->

When ethics falls, larger purpose fails.

Purpose -->

When larger purpose fails, self-determination no longer makes sense.

Self-Determinism -->

When self-determination does not make sense, definitive agency is gone.

Definitive Agency -->

When definitive agency is gone, knowledge no longer makes sense.

Knowledge -->

When knowledge no longer makes sense, absolute knowledge is impossible.

Absolute Knowledge -->

When absolute knowledge is not possible for anyone, practical knowledge is unworkable.

Practical Knowledge -->

When practical knowledge is unworkable, the only type of perception left is a glorified perception, a perception devoted to happenstantial pleasure which could be gone at any minute.

Un-Glorified Perception -->

When only glorified perception is left, rationality must also leave.

Rationality -->

When rationality is gone, reason is certainly gone.

Reason -->

When reason is gone, logic is gone.

Logic -->

When logic is gone, mathematics dies.

Mathematics -->

When mathematics cannot be trusted, nothing can be trusted.

Trustworthiness -->

When trustworthiness is gone, the world as we know it is gone.

The World as we Know it -->

When the world is gone, we cannot even be radical.

Radicalism -->

When we cannot be radical, we do not have values in a rational sense.

Values

However, madness remains. Thus, even reason must be a form of madness. This leads to a conclusion that madness is universal and ignorance is contrived.

This procedure has been partly modified from a conversation with Justin Grey.

Latest Criticism of Math

Algebra does not add significant content to a system, because all it expresses is a pre- or post-  figurization. It is not algebra itself which is a meaningful process, but instead the content (interior or exterior) to algebra. As such, it cannot define a system in itself. Instead, it expresses meaningless figurative relationships which have nothing to do with symbolism or the expression of the actual content, in either qualitative terms, or in the meaning of the quantities involved. Algebra has a marginal role as the expression of mathematical relationships which have little to do with the ultimate or original content of the expression in absolute terms. In other words, although algebra is pre-figurative, it is not pre- pre-figurative. And although algebra is post-figurative, it is not post-post-figurative. Algebra provides little means to achieve prophecy or to interpret history except in terms of data that lacks figurization.

To look for the significance of algebra is always to look for the significance of quantities, something that is not granted to data except as an ulterior, that is, a causal or empirical observation. Furthermore, quantitative data says nothing about causal rules except by referring to other principles which are not embodied in math, e.g. rules of inference. Although math does have its own rules of inference, these do not have a one-to-one correlation with both data and proof simultaneously. In other words, predicting the number of bison that will populate the Great Plains depends on a rule of inference, that numbers of bison will increase exponentially (for example), that has little to do with the number of bison that currently exist there. And if it doesn't have to do with the current number of bison, then it has little power to predict past or future numbers with any accuracy. Indeed, what actually happened was that bison numbers decreased, which had an inverse correlation with human settlement. This was not algebra, but a form of inference which had nothing directly to do with the quantity of bison. In fact, settlers may have been attracted by the large numbers of bison, not by the small numbers, thus leading to something worse than an inverse relationship: in fact, something that could not be expressed in mathematics. For at the root of it, the psychological impulse was one of being attracted both to bison quantities and also to dead bison hides. And simultaneously, in other respects (the maintenance of the railroad, for example), humans did not want bison at all. And it is hard to predict a stricter quantitative relationship than an inverse relationship, but nonetheless, the result is apparently not algebraic.

In any case, even if algebra could express relationships like bison to settlers, or human intelligence to the degree of experimentation, such relationships are not best expressed in mathematical terms, as the math is inevitably just a starting point to understanding what has actually occurred. In most cases, the data comes off as a vast over-simplification. The data is, at the root of it, not directly contingent upon experience. Data poses the danger of imposing un-realistic thinking over a long period of time that is only second-guessed when it is too late. Indeed, the assumption that data is meaningful is a glaring mistake. And the basic problem is that algebra does not add significant content to the system.

I should really be celebrating, because I finished my last required math class for my philosophy degree (I got an A-). I lasted out! I'm still critical of math!

Status Updates

I'm up to 150 followers on Twitter again. Good.

However, simultaneously I've dropped to Top 4% from Top 3% on Academia.

That means my professor Dr. Chelsea Harry is now tied with me, also at Top 4%.

I still have more views, but she is equal in popularity in the last 30 days. Also, her papers are more popular on average, even though she has about 1/50th the quantity. But hers are actual published papers, as is usual for professors.

A Categorical Catalogue of Diseases

Over the years, due to my diagnosis (schizophrenia), I have been influenced by the medical community, and I have even been inspired recently to come up with my own list of sixteen diseases, which is my attempt to be comprehensive. Perhaps, due to my experience with categorical knowledge philosophy, someone will even listen to my opinion about the spectrum of disorders, and use this type of arrangement as a basis for some aspect of future medical systems. Or, perhaps this system is already incorporated in DSM-V etc. I don't know. But I think it has an original feel:

A LIST OF DIMENSIONS WITH EXPLANATIONS

In case you're seeing double, this is yet another dimensionism post. I think it adds some content to the previous descriptions.

[Current Dimension 3.5]

1: Computation: Coherency / Incoherency

1.5: Energy Potential: Like insects trying to grow up into atom bombs.
Prophecy: Foolish reason.

2: Manifesting Complexity: The 'demonstrating new tricks' mentality.

2.5: Motivation or Art: The way a cartoon liquor ad seems to be trying to decide about human issues. Prophecy: Thoughts will rise.

3: Manifesting Perfection: This time freedom involves the essential ingredient of  functionality.

3.5: Completeness / Identity: Things are trying to realize the meaning of perfect forms, ideally. Prophecy: the idealizers will be epitomized.

4: Things are seeking permanence and intellectualization.

4.5: People are seeking fruits of their labors in the lower dimensions, including new selfless paradigms and new attributes of the acquired rank of dimensionality. Prophecy: The new idea divides the ideation.

5: Thoughts are divided between the World and the Zinne, the Zinne being a concept of an entity's manifest influence in the world.

5.5: Greater emphasis is placed on exceptions and how to realize them. Prophecy: The entity lives in a corner of the world.

6: Physics acquires interesting rules. A greater number of entitites is permitted.

6.5: Exceptions are formalized into technologies. Perfection is open-ended. Prophecy: Old patterns are reformed.

7: Rise of natural idealizations. Hard rationalizations are used to interface with dimensional nature.

Good!

I'm common in searches for perpetual motion and dimensional philosophy.

plus.google.com

PROBABILITY OF INVENTING PERPETUAL MOTION

FIRST STAGE: At this stage, most people think it's impossible, or that all calls are off.

50% Chance you could come up with a design, even if it's unoriginal.
25% Initial chance that someone will build a model if it's new.
5% Chance that the faulty design will be remembered for generations.

SECOND STAGE: This is the stage you want if people think it's improbable.

100% Chance they don't see the whole picture.
75% Chance you could conduct an interesting experiment with hard work.
5% Chance you could say something meaningful about perpetual motion.
<  1 % chance you could provide evidence of over-unity.

THIRD STAGE: This is the stage you want if it hasn't been invented before.

50% Chance it's impossible.
50% Chance it's easy.
12.50% Chance it's easy for someone but not everyone.
Miscellaneous probability that hardly anyone will attempt it.

FOURTH STAGE: This is the stage you want if it's been built before.

75% Chance no one owns it.
25% Chance you will get credit.
100% Proof
75% Chance an industry will adopt it.

0.05 * 0.01 * 0.375 * 0.25 = So, all in all, about a 1 / 50,000 chance of getting credit when you do the right experiments without it being overly difficult, based on a meaningful design when it's not impossible. Of course, if I'm the perfect inventor, it will seem impossible to those who aren't quite as good. A mere difference in ability might mean 1000 or 1,000,000 times less probability. That would be more like one in 50 million, or one in 50 billion. So, you might factor in the following skill factors:

* 1 = all the right priorities.
*0.5 = some of the right priorities.
*0.25 = very few of the right priorities
*0.125 = one right priority

Thus, if I have only some of the right priorities, the probability that I invent perpetual motion and get credit is still only 1 / 100,000.

Of course, these aren't hard numbers. A mere difference in priority could change the equation if perpetual motion is possible.

The key thing is to combine skill with building with genuine theories, which has been rarely done (Finsrud, perhaps).

On the other hand, if we have already reached the third stage because of good experiments, the probability is now increased to about 9.3% or over 10,000 times more likely than before, which is great news!

At this point, if my designs are adequate, the most difficult thing is physical design, which is a major hurdle.

Conventionally, perpetual motion has been considered as unlikely as winning all the lotteries that ever existed. But of course, that's so unlikely that any possibility of perpetual motion seems more probable. That's where I started.

Someone might counter that God already invented everything.

But then again, God might jsut as easily be a delusion as the idea that dimensions could be designed by a man.

Thus spoke saint devil. Saint devil saved us from the war. Saint devil is no more. But after that, the people forgot what saint devil did. And new faces began to fulfill the image as a reality. Maybe the president. Or a perpetual motion inventor. As absurd as they were, they had the specific virtue. Of saint devil. And what is natural law, other than words, anyhow?

>One can grow up expecting that it won’t get much worse.

"It's like honey bees"

...is writ large right now.

Just a piece of divination.

(Article on Philip the 2nd of Macedon, and observation that the Muses might be the same we had in Ancient Greece and Rome---popular singers connected to the past, and a new needle-drawing technique that is relatively painless. My intuition is that other news-stories relate to this trend of bees. If only I could find that beautiful quote by Aristotle from the old editions of his writings, on bees...).

Excellent article! Genius typology!

I can see how we are currently in the renaissance period, according to your descriptions.

I have been trying to predict the future myself, and I think there are hints in the concept of preferences and corresponding symbolic objects. We need more ‘deep structure’ and less ‘floodle’! That means abandoning the idea that its all appearances, and embracing the idea that there is inherent gamification content. And making things appeal to the sensory mindset, as well as the symbolic / conceptual mind-set. It means more perfection, more taken-for-granted, and more visual metaphor.

SECRETS OF PHENOMENOLOGY / PHENOMENAL REGIMEN

Some months ago I wrote this piece for my forthcoming book, The Dimensional Phenomenologist's Toolkit. If you like it, perhaps consider purchasing the book. Not all of the material is like this, but it has a lot of things about aesthetics and perception.

PHENOMENAL REGIMEN: Phenomenology can be used as a regimen, and as such, it is not just meditation or being open-minded, but may involve a series of windows which open into a larger life. These descriptions show a kind of rhetorical approach to discovering the wider life we may choose to live:

(A) At first, you may not know it.

(B) But, life has problems.

(C) Fortunately, you can solve them.

(D) If you can’t solve them, you have a bargaining chip to get what you want anyway.

(E) So, now you know, that one can be lazy under this condition of having secured the right life.

(F) Being lazy does not always mean that one is inactive. It is still possible to physically exercise even if you are living this life of leisure.

(G) None of this says anything against having an imagination, except the existence of problems.

(H) One CAN have an imagination about problems.

(I) Beyond a certain point, a problem that is called a problem is no longer a problem. The imagination has succeeded to make the thought into something more interesting.

(J) At this point, you yourself either are or aren’t a problem. You are either solvable (a problem concerned with itself), or completely free of problems.

(K) You can live the life of solving yourself, or you can live the life of being problem-free.

(L) Take a breath of fresh air. I have just explained how life can both accommodate work, and accommodate tremendous freedom of imagination.

PARADISAL EXISTENCE

ABOVE: DREAM HOUSE
ABOVE: 'COLORDOOR' TRANSCENDENCE SYSTEM

Quietly flaming herbs and trees that are pleasant to the touch.

Virginal existence.

Unstructured time.

An undamaged brain.

Absence of pain.

A variety of intellectual materials to work with.

*Writing / books.
*Magical mirrors.
*Pens / wands (‘technology’)
*Interesting substances that interact with thought (‘not too much of an obsession’)

A small palace in the middle of a sprawling garden.

Four-dimensional or higher ‘significances’.

Ability to protract life with ease.

Magical goblet or fountain, nothing inebriating (epic quest if one desires that, but a rule against perpetual temptation).

Many subtleties of imagination.

The ability to dream at will, and return at will.

Peaceful magical arts.

A peaceful way of life.

More complex elements than ordinary. For example, tree bark that sings metallically, and puzzles made of a metal that conducts thought.

Ambient weather and magic.

The ability to enchant objects by committing mental powers to them which in turn control complex elements.

Curvaceous, modular ceramic construction of the key elements of the palace (see picture), supplemented by a metal that doesn’t become cool and a wood that doesn’t become hot.

Important: naturally-growing herbs that grow in an attractive fashion. Things similar to lavender and basil in particular, as well as aromatic flowers and cinnamon trees. Only some of these may have higher-dimensional properties, in particular in response to observation.

No need to use the bathroom (plumbing is too much of a requirement on space, and taxes the mind) Possibly a spirit-form with a magical power to sense and lift objects. In this way, my living space could be a translation of a lower-dimensional space used by more physical creatures.

Numerous comfortable places for dreaming in. Not always sleep, but comfortable rumination. Comfort can come in many shades, many hues.

An absence of anger and destruction, perfect for creating creativity and abeyant magic.

Dark things that are significant, similar to plums, ink, and dark water. Intellectually potent, but not excessively threatening.

No way to drown, bleed, or become unconscious.

An extended landscape defined by the imagination.

A physics that supports perpetual machines made of brass or some more advanced metal. A new type of religion, which belongs in gardens.

If women emerge, they do not bleed, but excrete watery substances. Limited temptation for attachment. Temporary relationships, if any at all. Iconoclastic independence. Any semi-permanent bonds are formed based on mental commitments which are understood to change from time to time, like serendipity and flux, which comes like good weather.

Hair grows by free-will, if it grows at all. Perhaps only stones grow hair.

No way to get burned or frozen. Fire is pleasant, and ice is rare, perhaps used as glue.

Deep memory permits teleportation and time travel within the space, so far as that is recordable. It might be more accurate to call teleportation a way of remembering other moments in time. Time travel occurs when one’s memory of the other moment is strict and perfect, and one is unattached to the future of that moment.

Sufficient interest in ideas, preserved from past lives. Devotion to the good things stems from this.

Colordoor (depicted): a model of ascendence can be introduced called Colordoor, which features casual paths to follow which signify specific types of ideas, initially based on the (complex) elements, but finally transforming into mechanical, valuistic, subtle, and mysterious elements. This is made easier by implementing changing colors over some of the same doors, while also showing an upwards or elemental progression (e.g. more cliffs, more wind, more waves along with more intellect, more perfection, more inward-searching, etc. But almost always preserving the small palace).

Some general correspondence between the character of the mind and the properties of the world. The mood is the weather.

Ability to fascinate oneself with small things, such as the texture of a stone, besuiting an immortal life, with some compromise towards being gradually distracted from distractions, providing sufficient intellectual impetus.

No pollutants, nothing dead, nothing addictive, nothing both strange and bad, nothing that causes age (wisdom instead), nothing that appears dirty or dead or ugly or without virtuous reason, tempting.

Rocks and trees stand in for the age of the mind and body. These less conscious things communicate the irrational wisdom of their impossible state. They are the soldiers in comparison to peaceful existence. But they are not called soldiers. That is part of the mystery, perhaps. And it is an unbroken rule. But there should be no sense that a rule needs to be broken. After all, every state in this world comes about through a cosmic kind of preference and justice. There is no tolerance for mere finicking and stupidity.

If anyone has children in this world, they have a will of their own, and quickly explore and isolate into their own spaces of paradise within the world. There are endless numbers of destinations is a rule which must hold fast. The more people / wizards / wisemen / spirits the more spaces, destinations, grottoes, and cities emerge. Cities are brought together by a will, rather than a necessity for common space. Dream-travel explains the momentous difference between living with and without company.

Physics in this world occurs through aesthetic justice, elemental intrigue, and magical freedoms. Additional law is provided by the mind, and any previously-decided laws made by an authoritative mind at some time. Laws may have domains which refer to their appropriate bounds of sensibility, often the location of people, objects, and auras (or else ruminations), which are allied with the peaceful practice of the specific laws.

In deciding the nature of this world, deference should be made to Taoism and Zen Buddhism (without use of weapons) and Feng Shui, since these theories embody an aesthetic sense of justice.

In no way shall the elements of this universe be modern, without qualification. Every dimension of character is a dimension that must be mastered before it officially materializes. I argue that modernism is not an easily mastered subject. It cannot be acquired arbitrarily.

At no time in this world should an expense be contracted on a soul. Nothing in this world costs money. Treasure merely glorifies God and other entities. Treasure is merely prospective magic, or magical mythology, a lesser form with greater scale.

The wizards / spirits / wisemen / nymphs / witches of this world will be allowed to keep attributes of language to themselves for the purposes of decorating their person with memories, songs, ruminations, impressions, and charm serving the purpose of preserving their justified self-concept stemming from the justified self-concept of the overall world, as it gifts the persons in their own preference.

That each creature / being of this world has a sacred memory which preserves the most relevant things for each person from the categorically recent past to the categorically relevant future shall be held fast.

Powers of time travel, immortality, aura magic, and with greater difficulty, strict elemental magic, shall be discoverable properties within the world. This will prevent newcomers from over-committing unless they are wise.

Symbols in this world will be highly qualified symbols with a typological order of significance. For example, Oroboros represents recursion, the cross represents categories, and horizontal lines represents equality and fundamentals of various levels.

A painful death will not be necessary to reach this world for those with prior experience in many of the subjects. This experience may involve aesthetic experience (imagination), magical experience (proven powers of magic), wisdom or justice (particularly Epicureanism and the study of mysticism), and interest in other sublime subjects such as symbolism, gardening, and exploration. In particular, a division will be made between people who have imagined this specific world and those who have imagined a world which is more compromised in its virtues. Those with greater compromise will not be made direct participants, but may still benefit by the universalism of its materials / and/or principle of non-expendability, in a directly uni-directional manner, but with a rule against any detraction (or ‘hollowing’) of the original experience.

A young woman is curious about whether I'm a genius

https://warosu.org/lit/thread/6496745

Do I do 47 impossible things before breakfast? Yes and no. The subtle part of my brain is very focused on impossible things, but my waking life is linguistically dull, and focused on manufacturing products for the web, books, artwork, etc. It's the typical thing about productivity. When you get down to the nitty-gritty, people sometimes lose interest, unless someone seems intense and focused (like Picasso). I have my medication counting against me, along with my lack of a professorship. But if it counts for anything, I have more document views than my recent professor at an academic webpage (academia.edu). It's not peer-review, but I have over 100 papers there, and have been getting daily traffic reading those papers.

Seems like progress to me. I've always thought popularity was a large part of the battle. I'm not as gifted as some of my relatives, and I have large ears that stick out. But I've made it my project to fill in some of the missing gaps in the world's aphorisms, etc. I really do think I've solved all paradoxes, and quite possibly paved the road to a functioning perpetual motion device. If just more computers and physicists were totally interested in perpetual motion, then maybe we would have a real machine before the end of the year. (My intellectual books are also worth checking out). So far, I'm always looking for more web traffic. I'm a web traffic addict. As for human relationships, that's a much more difficult thing.

Remember to visit my Amazon Author profile...

Remember, I published 44 books last year mostly philosophy / reference / art / symbolism / logic / poetry, so there's a lot to choose from...

http://www.amazon.com/author/nathancoppedge

Apparently I lost the Ozy Genius Awards

I have not been informed of winning during the target date (at least, not on time), so I assume that I've lost. The official winners are typically informed around May 4th, and the official list goes out on May 10th. So I guess I've lost. But I don't feel terrible about it this time. It's their loss, not mine...

PROGRESS AS AN AUTHOR

5/6ths of the times I have ranked above 100,000th author occurred in the last year.

But my average rank has been about 200,000th - 400,000th author so far, on the upper end if I don't count before Sept 2013.

Currently, my rank has been above 400,000th author for over six months without exception during that time. And during that time I have been above 100,000th author for 10 separate days.

However, my dad says it's baloney, and he was #1 author one time. I don't know what to believe (I don't think my dad is lying, but maybe he meant in a single category, rather than overall) but I like the stats program anyway.

DISAPPOINTING INFORMATION ON TESLA'S MOST FAMOUS PATENT

"... of a source of current of very great frequency and very high potential. The practical requirements of this invention are widely different from those employed in producing any of the phenomena heretofore observed, such differences being mainly in respect to the current, which must be one of enormous frequency and of excessively high potential, and also to the degree of exhaustion of the globe or receiver, which must be carried at least beyond the point at which a spark will pass, or to the condition known as a non-striking vacuum, and it may be as much farther as possible."

Unfortunately, this patent, originally Tesla's, refers to a lightbulb patent, not a perpetual motion machine.

OCCASIONAL THEOLOGY / SPIRITUALISM POST

EARTH ---> UNIVERSAL

AIR --> THOUGHT

WATER ---> ATTRIBUTES --> CREATION: In theology, the fine art of creating one’s own spirit is a subtle, emotional art, that is more complex than subtlety and which grants more essential powers than attributes. Activities like creating art, having children, or crafting an object can have more importance than the things which are created, when there is no spiritual compromise.

FIRE --> TECHNOLOGY: Essentially complexity.

ANIMATION --> TIME & KNOWLEDGE: Understanding key powers, in particular time, can grant knowledge which goes beyond simple understandings of God, chemistry, etc. This spiritual view, favored by the Illuminati, embraces causation, but in an altered, spiritual sense. Spiritual causation explained by time goes a long way towards bridging the gap between experiences and powers. In some ways however, this was just an extension of animation in which time was the explanation.

WISDOM: Avoids destruction. It is the first practical form of spirit.

CHARACTER: Emerges from creating the soul. Aims to be wise. Way to achieve Godhood.

PERFECTION: The object of wisdom.

DIMENSIONALITY: Extends perfection.

PHILOSOPHY OF THE IMAGINATION

Numerous thoughts are possible illustrating the use of the imagination in creating philosophy. Thoughts about conjunctions, existences, attributions, and trivializations are just the beginning of this type of study. One can imagine many different properties, ideologies, systems, and discretions which go along with the philosophical imagination. Specifically, one might think about the complexity and perfection of objects which exist in imaginative space. One might distinguish between thoughts which exist ‘as-thought’ and thoughts which to some degree have their own independent reality. One can speak of imagination in the sense that is ‘as-real-as-thought’ and the sense that is ‘trivialized’ or ‘less-real-than-thought’. One can even debate what properties constitute an idea in its ‘being-as-real-as-thought’. Also, specific thoughts might exist in the realm of imagination which are seen to be real-qua-philosophy, rather than mereologically real. This may involve finding a specific relevance of imagination to philosophy, such as through its relevance to logic, ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, politics, feminism, or race. A made-up concept such as a ’dreambling’ might have multiple imaginative properties, thus extending the concept into the perspectival, dimensional space of philosophy. The dreambling may have the properties of being an entity as well as being a dream. Other similarly fanciful concepts are also imaginable. One may also think of concepts which are mostly philosophical such as pure logical or political concepts, and frame them in such a way where they have a small touch of imagination. In that case, the rhetorical, personal, ideological, or psychological property of imagination has been granted to a philosophical entity. Imagination can be seen as a way of breathing life into concepts that had been considered redundant, irrelevant, or compromised. Thus, imagination has a prospective role in philosophy, and vice versa.

THEORIES OF SURVIVAL

Probability. If one example is exceptionally rare, then it has a great degree of survival relative to the rest of its species. Thus, probability means a measure of success or rarity.

Strength. Might-makes-right mentalities dominate the simple view of nature and civilization. There is no doubt these have some significance where there is little intelligence, unless the environs is a paradise.

Magic. In addition to strength, the power to influence desires through seduction and manipulation, sometimes called magic, may play a role in selecting who survives, who is cheated, and who receives dishonor.

Knowledge. This is an ancient tradition dating at least back to the Labyrinth of Sardia. Wisdom can sometimes save someone when the concern is a matter of importance, like cheese or a drug, introduced from outside the labyrinth. The product is often to generate intangibles, to navigate away from confusion and danger.

Problem-Solving. Solving puzzles by having a new idea has had great appeal for those looking to logic to explain survival. Increasingly, however, these conditions look artificial unless they have an ethical overtone.

Civilization. Some theorists prefer to refer to the ways science can solve human problems (or fail to do so). These theorists see civilization as the crux of the problem and the solution.

Time. Temporality and immortality is sometimes used as a careful razor in determining the key, most important concerns for existence. This formulation must pre-date the phenomenologists. Solutions are proposed that can involve simple things like eating healthy food, to more complex ideas like time travel and changeless existence.

Cosmos. Universalizing values like love and karma is sometimes seen as an explanation for the nature of survival. However, these theories often defer to human or material imperfection to explain the problems involved.
