2017/09/28, 9:03- 9:06 PM — What I take to be a Higgs particle appeared in front of my Papasan chair, where I was working on a laptop with my familiar, Emend.
The Higgs looked not so different from this:

I hadn't seen it before. Indeed, that's what it looks like.
It was about basketball-sized, or slightly smaller.
The darkness was slightly more visible in the center, suggesting that light could pass through.
I wondered if maybe I have a divine power to inspire fundamental physics.
It was over in about 1.2 seconds, so I don't have a photo. My room was also somewhat dark.
I don't visually hallucinate very much, so perhaps it is something real! A real particle phenomenon!
Would you be so surprised if the Higgs loved time-travelers?
And then I said: Higgs particle? Don't you mean Hugs particle? And I hugged my familiar.
Then later I said: It was perfect, after the fact.
